veggie burger

Oi!

Quick and healthy lunch recipes

Sometimes our mind is completely blank when it comes to sorting lunch or dinner out. No matter how many ingredients you have to choose from you just can’t think about a single dish that you can create. I think every couple has had the «What would you like for dinner, babe» conversation which has led to mental break downs and a never ending discussion at the grocery store. Don’t worry, honey. I’ve got you sorted. Here are two kick ass recipes for a healthy, quick and delicious lunch: Healthy tacos in a red cabbage shell: This recipe is like any other tacos, but rather than using horrific mass-produced taco shells that have potentially cancer causing chemicals you are using red cabbage. It is fresh, crunchy and delicious! Plus it’s full of Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Iron and Magnesium. That sound definitely way better than chewing on Acrylamide. Since I am crazy about guacamole at the moment and was running out of time, I just topped my red cabbage taco shell with some guacamole and a …

Kick Start Smart

My top take aways from the Kick.Start.Smart Conference

On Friday I went to an awesome one day conference hosted by the Collective Hub and Xero. Collective Hub is a monthly lifestyle magazine that brings together entrepreneurial and creative minds from across the globe and has been a key source of inspiration for me the last couple of years since stumbling across the magazine in a News Agent shop in Perth. For the conference, the Collective Hub had invited fourteen of the nation’s most innovative thinkers and doers sharing their stories to a hungry crowd of over 500 goal getters and achievers.   The conference was held at The Australian Technology Park, a business and technology centre located three kilometres south from Sydney CBD. And I have to say: the venue was an experience in itself with its unique environment merging heritage with technology. Such a cool location for the conference and it sat the theme for the day in a beautiful way. I really wished I could teleport my uncle there, as he is probably the biggest fan of locomotives on the planet.   The …

How to know your life-values and change the course of your life.

The day you understand and accept that you are the most important person in your life and the creator of your own reality is the day you will see your life change. Not overnight, of course, however you will find that you are slowly taking small steps in the direction of your desired state. Whether it’s on a personal, financial or emotional level those small steps will add up to a marathon in the long run. You may not see it today or see it tomorrow but you will look back in a few years time and be in complete awe of what you have accomplished. I know this from experience. To be straight forward with you, four years ago I was struggling with depression thinking I would never be able to live with myself long enough to celebrate my 25th birthday. Now I’ve graduated from a top Australian university, I have started my own company, I have palm trees in my back yard and a loving boyfriend. So yes, things can change.   That …

World’s best homemade bread

Being a Norwegian I have to admit I do love my bread. It’s what we eat. If you don’t believe me you should go over there one day. It’s bread for breakfast, lunch and supper. “BRØDSKIV MED BRUNOST” for life! I know many articles discourage people to eat bread, and I’m not going to tell you what to do or not. But if you’re like me, a big fan of nice bread, I have a hell of a recipe to share with you. It might just be the best bread in the whole world. I grew up with the smell of homemade bread in the house, as my mother was an excellent bread maker. Me on the other hand, did not inherent those baking skills. Last time I tried to make homemade bread it both smelled and tasted like alcohol. I learnt that I’ve got a bit too excited about yeast. The whole house smelt like a microbrewery. The bread was also rock hard, super heavy and tasted like shit. But you know me, I’m not …

A quick travel guide: my five favourite places in Trondheim

It took me 24 years to actually really explore the city where I am from. Better late than never, right? Isn’t it weird how we’re so keen to explore and go sightseeing in other cities, but when it comes to the city where we’re from we can’t be bothered? It’s a shame really, because every city has something unique to offer and it’s so much fun to pretend to be a tourist and actually see what the city has to offer other than the shopping malls, the dentist and the post office. So without any further or do, here is my five must do’s whilst you visit Trondheim: First some quick facts: Trondheim is a historical city that was founded in 997 by the viking king Olav Tryggvason (which means I’m a viking!). It has a population of a bit over 181,500 people and is therefore the third largest municipality in Norway. The city has changed name several times from “Nidaros” to “Trondheim”. The latter means “the home of the Trønder people”. Trønder people are …

Boobs

So I came across this article in a pop magazine online, that made me wonder, they said they loved how Kylie Jenner transformed into a curvy woman. Transformed. She is not transforming into a curvy woman. She is buying her curves. That’s different. No, this is not a self-pity and jealous response. This is what I would like to tell all young girls that are looking themselves in the mirror wondering when a set of double D’s and plumpy lips will come around. It’s not just celebrities that are turning to the hospital to «transform» their well functioning bodies, also bloggers are doing the same. Contributing to creating a fake reality and an expectation on how young girls think they should look after a certain age. Just in little Norway, it’s actually hard to find a “top blogger” without a fake pair of tits. Or lips for that sake. Just. Proving. My. Point. Misunderstand me right; I myself went so close to doing the same in 2011 that I’ve already paid the bond to get …

”What you consistenly are doing is what defines you as a person” sies det. …
